Meet the "DUCKS"
The DUCKS (Dads Understanding Challenged Kids) is a support group for fathers of children with special needs in Melbourne Victoria Australia.
It all started during a weekend workshop in August 2001 targeted at Dads and the many issues they encounter while bringing up children with special needs. MOIRA organized the workshop specifically for Dads, after it became apparent that many men find it hard to come to terms with disability, grief and loss.
We meet once a month and share our experiences raising children with special needs, and discuss pretty much anything that comes to mind. We also have fun!!!!
If you're a Dad who has a child with special needs, why not come along and become part of the gang.
